“The opposite of love is not hate it is indifference” ~Elie Wiesel
So lately i have been reading more quick cute reads than normal and i noticed a growing pattern in the newer books than ones i read earlier. The pattern is that of infidelity or thoughts of infidelity and interlinking plots told from the same perspective but in a different characters mind…. if any of that makes sense lol
recently just finished reading “A Bad Bride’s Tale” by Polly Williams and must say that i am impressed by the book but feel it could have been done a lot better in some areas. The way it was told suited how she wrote the story as a series of stories all interlinking and meeting together at points. How it could have been improved at least in my opinion is for one it could have been longer because at times i felt like i was missing some information that would have been useful and the book itself was rather short… i just feel that she could have expanded and gotten away with it. Secondly some more intricacies added to the plot would’ve been nice, it just seemed like the same storyline just with different characters more than one time in the book some difference or something else would’ve been nice.
Overall though i have to say that i am impressed with the caliber of some of the books i’ve been reading and though i have read alot of books in my time the cute “short” ones are growing on me. i find it refreshing to be able to finish a book in a day or two and move on instead of spending months upon months on a book.
here is a list of some of the must read books this year according to MSN.com for reinventing yourself
