My plan for the next 5 years!
So i figure it being a new year and all i should make my “5 Year Plan” up to date.
well at least thats how i look at it.
any who lets begin
for the next year and a half approximately i will finish my first degree which is a BA in Psychology and get a car of my own so that i no longer have to rely on public transit ( Rav4 or Forrester?). Following my convocation i will move out on my own aka buy my own house either in calgary or edmonton and proceed onto my second degree which is a teaching degree ( or something along the lines of education for early age) so that i may become an elementary school teacher. That program takes 2 years give or take a couple months.
so far we have covered the next 3.5 years of my life ![]()
to follow that i am hoping *crosses fingers* to be engaged at some point within the 1.5 years after i finish my teaching degree and then carry on from there. the ultimate goal is to be married between the ages of 25 and 30 and before i’m 30 hopefully have my first kid. now i know some of you might say that it sounds very rushed but i have my reasons i promise.
overall i am fairly satisfied with my plan and think it looks good.
After that my life will pretty much consist of work, and raising a family etc and all that good stuff. Here’s to hoping that everything works out for the better and not for the worse.
Now for my elementary school career i was hoping of staying in AB but then the decision is do i move out of my hometown (Calgary) or do i stay. my current boyfriend wants to move out of the big city and back to a place like okotoks or black diamond. so the decision will have to wait till i’m ready to make it. i’m gonna have to go elsewhere for my teaching degree anyway so it all really depends on where i go for that so far my best choices are the University of Alberta, University of Saskatchewan and University of Lethbridge. All of them have really great programs and 2 are relatively close to home and family where as the UofS is a bit further away.
It has been found out that in the next couple of years demand for teachers is going to increase dramatically because of all the people that will be retiring etc and the huge amount of people moving into this country with kids that will need an education. when the population grows those who work for the people of the country come into demand. so needless to say i think i picked a good time to finalize my decision on becoming a teacher.
